I am writing to invite you at a conference called “Seoul Design Conference”. Nowadays, I am very busy because of the arrangement of this conference. Experts in international and domestic various clothing design will participate in the conference.
A topic of the conference is “Design is Air”. They will discuss the role of design in present and future society. This will be held on Monday, October.20 at the Special Conference Hall of main stadium in Jamsil. The conference will last from 10a.m to 5p.m and will have an agenda. You do not need to bring anything. Please pay special attention to clothes because it is an international conference. Also, if you want, you might bring your partner.
Here are the directions for how to get to the conference hall. I would like you to take public transportations because there are no parking lots available. If you take a bus or subway, it’s much more convenient and not difficult to find it.
First, you can take a bus; number 3217, 3218, 4311 as green bus line, number 360, 362, 362, 730 as blue line and number 606 as an airport bus.
Another way is to take a subway. You take a green line (line 2) subway toward Jamsil stadium. You should exit from number, 6 or 7. Just after coming out of the station, you will see the conference hall easily if you enter into the south gate of the stadium. Also, our staffs will assist you to find a conference hall.
Please get back to me at the end of this week if you will be able to attend the conference as I need to finish arrangements next Monday. I am sorry for such a short notice.

Human resource department offers a new training course called ‘The Image Making Course’ from next month. We have tried to change our image to be creative and comfortable since 2006. My special places that I enjoy the autumn
My special places that I enjoy the autumn
I have special places that I enjoy every autumn. One is the restaurant called ‘Heidi house’ that is located in NamYangJu. There are delicious meal, beautiful garden, small concert, and poetry readings. I think that this place makes me feel good and release the stress. When I sometimes had bad condition, I used to go there. The restaurant’s host delights in gardening. Whenever I visit there, he raises kind of vegetables and gives the visitor the vegetables. It’s hard to go there often because it is a little far from here. Also, I’m often stuck in traffic on weekend.
Another place is a book café in Samchungdong. There are many book cafés along the street. It has enough space to enjoy indoor and outdoor. I sometimes enjoy reading, drinking and relaxing at the place. There are so much to see and to do in Samchungdong. The small shops and galleries are along the street. It’s very beautiful street.
Also, there is my favorite restaurant that I often enjoy seafood spaghetti with kind of wine. I sometimes feel some luxury and satisfaction there. I think that most of women have the same feeling. The best of all, if you take a walk along a maple tree-lined street near the Gyungbok palace at the night, definitely, you will be happy.
The last is the campus of YeonSei University. There has a beautiful place to feel autumn. On some night, when I watched autumn foliage there, I was falling in love with the beautiful scene at the moment. I have never seen it until that time. I often go there every autumn night.
All of them are my secret places that I enjoy only for me.

three things that I'd like to do
There are three things that I’d like to do in this semester.
Firstly, I’d like to have a special trip
One is to see a sunrise on the beach with my best friend. I have a best friend who has been my friend since high school. We enjoyed lots of trips together before the marriage. Now, it is hard to enjoy any trip together because of families. But we promised to have a trip for us in this autumn.
Another is to visit Europe with my daughter and her friend. My daughter has a friend who has been a friend since three years old(my daughter is 11 years old). I know her mother who is my co-worker. We have saved money for our specific trip since last year.
The last is to visit my parents- in- raw. I can rarely go to my parents’ house because it is far away from here. These days, my parents in raw are often sick. So I intend to visit there within this year as long as I can.
Secondly, I want to have my forte.
I am learning English at the University of Seoul. I’ll try to improve my English ability. I really desire that English would be one of my talents after this semester. Also, I have thought that I’d like to play a guitar since my undergraduate days. I want to learn a guitar because I really like it as well as I want to be good at one musical instrument. The last thing is to practice golf. I already started to practice golf five months ago. But I stop learning it because of studying abroad for one month. I’ll practice golf soon.
Finally, I’ll try to stay in shape because my weight is a little increased nowadays.
I like to exercise at gym. But I couldn’t exercise regularly so far because I had to devote majority of my time to study English. I plan to go to a gym three times a week from now on. Also, I’ll reduce to eat a junk food. It is not good for staying in shape because it has high calorie and lots of salt. Another is to keep eating time regularly. Sometimes I used to skip breakfast and had dinner irregularly. Absolutely, it is not good for my health and losing a weight.
Overall, these plans that like to do in this semester might be difficult to keep it. However, I’ll try to do it for my life.

The new factory has had several important effects on the town. First of all, there are many positive effects to open a large factory in town. For one thing, a number of new people are increased and getting a job is easier. Other thing is that the town will be rich and energetic. In addition, according to young people’s demand, many cultural facilities will be built and peoples can enjoy a cultural life.
On the other hand, we will predict many negative effects. The town will be crowded and dirty. Therefore, people will be stressed out.
Also, the increase of cars will bring about a traffic jam and traffic accident. In addition, the waste water and exhaust gas from the new factory will incur various environmental pollutions. Finally, the town has lots of bars and many crimes because of income’s increase. Therefore, the town will become worse in the educational environment side.
Overall, these negative effects of the new factory should be gone over enough. First, as people increase continually, we should make a rule and regulation that can keep the town in order. Second, we should widen the road to keep cars moving. As a result, the traffic accident will reduce of itself.
Third, environment pollution is very harmful for people’s health, so we absolutely should build eco- friendly factory. Most importantly, the town has a harmful factor in the educational environment side, so we should keep a safe of school area. If we solve these problems, the new factory will bring about many effects on the town.

The small trouble with business today is just that people don’t have enough time.
Perhaps, companies have reduced their workforces so that fewer people can do the same amount of work.
I think that managers don’t see what is happening around them. They may be need their time to work through their regular tasks and have no time to take on new initiatives.
Time for reflection is partly important. Decisions taken now could be affect today’s business, they can maybe have an influence on business in the long term. Strategy is a little concern of senior management when it needs to be the concern of everybody in the company.

My family
I’m glad for introducing my family. There are four peoples in my family: husband, daughter, son, and me.
My husband is very tall. Before the marriage, he said his tall was 180. but his height was increased day by day. At last, he said his reality, his height is 184. as you can see that, he is very passive. Also, he is too much lazy. His hobby is only watching TV as he lies down on a sofa.
My daughter is 11 years old. She has a outstanding sense of fashion. Every morning, she is very busy to choose clothes. Her dream is continually changing . I desire that she would be a fashion designer.
Now, she is a girl at puberty. So, she is often angry without a reason.
I’d like to talk about her school life and friends with her. It is not easy to do that.
I have to try it far more than now.
My son is 4 years old. I bare my son in 2005. he was born as a result of modern medicine. so to speak, he was a tube baby. I had many problems to get a baby.
Now, I’m happy due to my cute son.
Finally, I’ll talk about me. I work for Seoul metropolitan government. I have served during about 20 years. Most of people thinks that public officer is very comfortable and easy job. However, we are very busy and we suffer from lots of work. So, as I need to some leisure, I apply for training of English. Now, I am studying English at the University of Seoul. This studying will be continued until January in 2008.

in my opinion
In my opinion, it is harmful for mothers with small children to work outside of the house. For one thing, it’s difficult to find a reliable babysitter if she don’t have any relative to look after her children. Moreover, children of a working mother will have a bad habit or friends because they are apart from their mother during the daytime. Finally, children of a working mother may grow up with a feeling of uneasiness.
In my opinion, smoking shouldn’t be banned in restaurants. First, smoking in restaurant will give your parter an unpleasant feeling if your partner don’t smoke. Second, peoples who seat next to the table will have a bad time due to the smell. Third, the restaurant will become disrepute.
I think that nuclear energy isn’t the best way to meet our energy needs.
First of all, it’s very difficult to manage it.
Next, the nuclear energy will bring about a fatal result if the nuclear energy fall out.
Finally, we should have start-up a higher cost.
I think that the drinking age shouldn’t be lowered to age 18.
For one thing, youngsters under age 18 have no power of judgement. Second, they don’t have enough an ability about ethical decision or moral judgement. Third, the period under age 18 is the time to study for their future. It’s not help to drink at an early age.
In my opinion, it is good for children to watch TV. First reason, Educational programs teach children basic skills such as reading and writing. Second reason, children can learn about science, history, and the arts. Third, TV exposes children to different countries, cultures, and ideas. Fourth, News programs inform children about what is going on in their community. Fifth, TV gives children free and interesting entertainment. With these reasons, Watching TV is useful for children.

Description of the hometown
My hometown is Seoul. It is located in South Korea. The size of Seoul is 605.52 square kilometers. About ten million peoples live there.
There are four distinctive seasons : spring, summer, fall and winter. Summer is a little hot and humid. Winter is a little cold and snowy. And spring and fall are very good seasons for outdoor activities: go hiking, hang out with family, go to the picnic. All seasons are very beautiful.
One of Seoul’s features is a long river, Hangang, which runs through out the city. The city is divided into two parts by the river with Gangbuk and Gangnam. There are many bridges above the river. The night view of these bridges is very beautiful.
Seoul is very pleasant and active. Most of people work during the day and enjoy the nightlife, as like most of large town. There are many things to see and do in Seoul. The city has many interesting tourist attractions: museums, gallerys, royal palaces, amusement parks, etc.
Best of all, as Seoul has lots of mountains, peoples always live with nature. Though Seoul is a large city and crowded, it’s a good place for peoples to feel happy.

My vacation at Elephant Rock Beach
Hi,
Hi,
I take a vacation with my family at the Elephant Rock Beach, in Irvine, CA. As I did lots of work last month, I need to relax in the countryside, like this beach. This beach is usually sunny and clean, but sometimes cloudy. Also for it's rarely crowded and quiet, it's nice place for relaxing.
The view of the beach is more spectacular than that of any other places I have seen until now. The seashore is sandy, and a rainbow of shells is glistening. I walk barefoot on the sand, feeling cool. The waves are strong and high.
This visiting is my first time, but I really like it. The sea seems to give me an answer about whole troubles. so I intend to make this beach into my favorite vacation place. I’ll let you feel my place next vacation. You may expect it.

Thirdly, you have to do lots of housekeeping by yourself. For example, you’ll do the loundary, wach the dishes, clean the house and so on. When you do thesethings, if you decide who does what, your life for a study abroad would be easy.

Memorable some weekend
I have been first in Jeonbuk, on October 27, in 2007. Since that time, I became loving there beacuse there were a view of landscape and something to see. Most impressively, It was a beautful moutain ,"Daedun Moutain". The moutain was covered red and yellow color leaves as like as a landscape. I have seen the dramatic landscapes for the first time since I was born.
In return to the road, I saw that lots of persimmons hung on a branch of the persimmo
n trees. It was also very fantastic view. Jeonju was well kowned of many persimmon. Although I didn't like persimmon, I bought it because it was so beautiful.
The next, to catch entirely my heart was the fact there were many cultural places.
I came by "Gyeong Gi Jeon" , "Choi Myeong Hee House", etc. GyeongGi Jeon possesed photographs of Lee Seong Gae, Joseon Dynesty. Choi Myeong Hee House was the place the novel "Hon Bul" written by Choi Myeong Hee memoried. There were many someting to see and feel as well. Third, JeonJu was famous for lots of something to eat. I ate 
traditional Korean food at the "Yangbanga". It was set of about thity side dishes and looked very delicious and really delicious more than I had ever eaten. Every corner of there had class of scholar. Finally, I met someone who was cultural and gemutlich. He worked for Jeonju City and in charge of region's cultural affairs. In my opinion, he deserved praising because he had an enthusiasm for his work and attachment for the region. I returned having lots of expriences. Throughout this travelling, I had a good memory. I never could forget that time and place for my life.

Biography of Vincent Van Gogh
Vincent Van Gogh is considered the greatest Dutch painter after Rembrandt. He produced all of his work during only 10 years.
He was born in Zundert, The Netherlands in 1853. His father was a minister and he was the eldest of six children. At age 16, he started to work for the art dealer Goupil & Co in The Hague. In 1880, According to the suggestion of his brother Theo, he took painting lessons from Anton Mauve at The Hague. Theo always supported him financially and emotionally throughout his life.
In 1988, he left Paris and went to Arles. Here, he was impressed with the local landscape and hoped to found an art colony. At this time, he started to live with Paul Gauguin, whose simplified colour schemes and forms attracted him. But their encounter ended in a quarrel, he suffered a mental breakdown and cut off part of his left ear.
Due to his depression, he was admitted to the psychiatric center in Saint Remy de Provence, in 1889. During his staying here, its garden became his main subject. At that time, he produced 200 paintings through the most vigorous works for his life.
But this period finished soon because of the guilty for his brother's assistance and an inferiority complex. At last, he shot himself in the chest on July 27, in 1890 and died two days later at the age of 37. He remained last words as “ The sadness will last forever”.
He had little success during his lifetime. After his death, his fame grew rapidly and large exhibitions were organized in Paris 1901, Amsterdam 1905, etc. His influence on expressionism, fauvism was enormous and can be seen in many other aspects of 20th-century art.

Elizabeth Blackwell
Elizabeth Blackwell became the first female medical doctor in the United States. She was born in Bristol England on Feburary 3, in 1821. She emigrated to New York City when she was eleven years old. During Elizabeth's childhood, she took all the subjects the boys did at school. Nothing ever stopped her from being first. She graduated from Geneva Medical in Geneva, New York in 1849. After graduating, she wanted to get a job in a hospital, but the road to becoming a doctor was not an easy one for a woman. So, she opened the New York Infirmary in 1853. But, no one wanted to see a female doctor, she continually tried to be seen how good she was. As the result, she opened the Women's Medical College of the New York Infirmary. She also assisted in founding the London School of Medicine for Woman. She died in Hastings, England, in 1910, at the age of 90. In spite of many problems and troubles, her achievements as the first medical doctor were enough to give a lesson to all women.

My busy day
My busy day
I was a busy day on March 14 in 2008. Today was scheduled to hold a seminar that I was responsible for it. So, I hurried up more than usual day from the morning.
I got up at 6am and waked up my family at 6:30am, and then had a breakfast with some bread and milk.
Because my son he is 4 years old was sleeping yet , I held my kid in my arms and dropped off him at babysitter’s home. I could leave for my work at 7am and arrived at 8am.
Today’s seminar would be started at 2 pm. So, in the morning, I had to check everything concerned the seminar.
After lunch at 12, I went to the place the seminar was scheduled, pleading the seminar to be held successfully.
The seminar started on time. There were crowded of many peoples as much as I thought.
Actually, I worried that there were empty chairs. Fortunately, many peoples came and the seminar progressed smoothly.
After the seminar was finished at6pm, when I reported the seminar’s result to my director, he was satified with the seminar and admired me.
Although I was very busy day, as all salarymen did, when I was recognized from my director, I felt satisfaction at my working.

Mark thought that he had to eat organic foods for his family’s health. So he decided to plant a vegetable garden. Making a vegetable garden gave him to have organic foods and to practice exercise.
First, he went to a garden store and bought seeds. He choose a few kinds of vegetable seed. Then he went home, prepared the soil, and planted the seeds with the whole family. In order to raise well vegetables, he puts a fence around the garden. Everyday, he watered and weeded the garden. Because he cultivated with all his heart, the vegetables grew well. At the end of the summer, he picked the vegetables from the garden.
A result his family’s hard work, he could eat organic vegetables everyday. He also improved his health.

He wanted to learn an English, to have many times with his family and so on. But at the end of January, he had broken half of the resolutions as he did every year.
As the months went on, he broke even more resolutions because his resolution was weakened increasingly. When the year ended, he realived that he had not kept a single resolution. In next year, when he plans new year’s resolution, he’ll think first if he would be keep it or not.

The Difficulty to Learn a New Language
There are many difficulties to learn a new language. First, we should understand the nation where the language is to be used. Learning a language means not just language but special culture, unique nationality and styles of thinking. So we must know everything about the nation first to learn a language effectively.
Second, we need a long time and lots of efforts. We should memorize many words and expressions, also we have to understand grammar, structure, etc. Retaining a language is possible by repeating for a long time.
Third, because we have no opportunity to use it, we often forget words and feel many troubles to express it. Although peoples have studied hard for a long time, if they have no chance to use it continually, it is difficult to maintain their ability.
Finally, it is difficult to continue studying, so we often need someone’s help like a co-worker or instructor. Also, it depends on personal character. If peoples are shy or unassertive, it may be more difficult to learn a language.
These's why we feel many troubles in spite of spending a long time and lots of efforts to learn a language.

Normal weekend
My weekend
On saturday, I got up early at 7 a.m because my daughter had to go to school . Thanks to my daughter, my day was started earlier.
After my husband went to work at 8 a.m, I cleaned my house, did a laundry.
My son got up at 10 a.m. He likes to watch a video, Dool Ri, Pet and Mat, etc. when he watched that, he was very interested all day.
Especally, because it was shiney day, I went out and took a walk around apartment in the afternoon.
On sunday, my family got up late at 9 a.m. After we ate a breakfast, my daughter and husband went to a mivie to CGV theater in gangdong.
I studied listening English on online during two hours. but I wanted to do more, it was impossible to do that my son was crying.
